Promotion of JAPAN BRAND 「TOHOKU “Kyodo ZEN”」

1. Back Ground
The brand concept of JAPAN BRAND is “creating a novel tradition by fostering innovation for values that only local small-to-medium companies (SMEs) can have.”
Tohoku is rich with a variety of local resources such as diverse, fresh food; beautiful nature; and four seasons. It has also maintained traditions, cultures, and techniques that are specific to local communities.
In Tohoku, between FY2004 and FY2018, Project to Support SMEs in Developing JAPAN BRAND Products and Services has selected 53 projects and supported them expand overseas.
2. Outline of the Project
Tohoku Bureau of Economy, Trade, and Industry promotes the Tohoku JAPAN BRANDs’ collaboration “Kyodo ZEN: Modern Tohoku Dining”.
It means that “JAPAN BRAND products from Tohoku complement each other to achieve a new standard of dining excellence. Discover Tohoku’s new charm, produced by creatively combining food, everyday items, crafts, and sake, nurtured by Tohoku’s rich soil”.
We participate in the following exhibition and events for “Kyodo ZEN” promotion, also propose any related Tohoku trips including Sake brewery visit in cooperation with local Destination Management Organization (DMO) and Sake brewery tourism associations.
